Imo Government Clarifies Chief Charles Orie’s Position in ISOPADEC
The Imo State Government has addressed recent media reports claiming that Chief Charles Orie, the former Chairman of the Imo State Oil Producing Communities Development Commission (ISOPADEC), resigned from his position. The government clarified that this information is misleading, as Chief Orie’s tenure had long expired and was not renewed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Given that his tenure was not renewed, Chief Orie did not resign from a non-existent position. The Imo State Government emphasized the importance of setting the record straight to avoid public confusion. While there is no issue with Chief Orie, the government reiterated that his tenure as ISOPADEC Chairman simply concluded without renewal, making the notion of his resignation irrelevant.
