Imo Government Denies Election Hotel Booking Rumors, Focuses on Fair Contest
Imo State Government has unequivocally refuted allegations of planning to book all hotel rooms in the state for the upcoming governorship election. The government dismissed these claims as falsehood and clarified that it has never communicated with stakeholders through social media.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba, acknowledged awareness of the opposition’s plans to introduce thugs into the state before the elections, and these concerns are being addressed in collaboration with security agencies. He criticized the allegation of importing thugs from neighboring states to rig the election as “idiotic” and asserted that Governor Hope Uzodimma and the APC are poised to win the election fairly.
Emelumba urged Imo’s electorate to disregard opposition antics and concentrate on re-electing the governor for a well-deserved second term to continue his commendable work.
