0

The Imo State Government has issued a firm warning to real estate developers and land buyers about the risks of fraudulent land transactions. Special Adviser on Land Recovery, Paschal Nwakanma, emphasized that no compensation will be provided to those involved in such deals.

Governor Hope Uzodimma has not yet begun land allocations, making it vital for buyers to be wary of land grabbers. Nwakanma highlighted the governor’s commitment to tackling land racketeering and urged individuals to verify land documents through official channels to protect their investments.

“Due diligence and caution are essential,” Nwakanma stated, advising buyers to consult the land registry and relevant authorities to ensure the authenticity of transactions. The government’s dedication to addressing these issues is clear, but personal responsibility is crucial to avoid financial loss.
