Imo State Sports Commission Focuses on Reviving Sports
The Chairman of the Imo State Sports Commission, Hon Amb (Sir) Ogbonna Eleazar Onyewuchi, conducted a strategic meeting with heads of sports departments in the state to discuss measures for reviving sports. Addressing the backwardness of sports activities, Onyewuchi emphasized the need to brainstorm and resuscitate sports in Imo State. The meeting provided an opportunity for departmental heads to contribute, express challenges, and submit reports for further study. Prince Ogbonna, known as a “Professor of Sports,” outlined plans for sports development, including collaborations with international partners for training and retraining coaches. He urged the restoration of sports programs in schools and local communities to make sports an all-inclusive activity.
