Ipere Youths Partner with Ekiti Government to Boost Farming
In a promising development for agriculture in Ekiti State, the Ipere Youths from Ilejemeje Local Government Area have partnered with the state government to enhance farming efforts. This collaboration, spearheaded by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration, is set to significantly advance agriculture in the state.
The Ipere project is part of a larger initiative involving 32 farm clusters established this year, with ongoing preparations for a second phase focused on late maize cultivation. Governor Oyebanji highlighted the importance of this initiative, noting that the current period offers a prime opportunity for farming in Ekiti State.
The state government is providing free fertilizer to all clusters, ensuring that farmers have access to essential resources. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is encouraging local communities and cooperatives to participate in this transformative program. As Governor Oyebanji aptly stated, “Food security is everyone’s business.” This partnership with Ipere Youths represents a significant step towards achieving sustainable agricultural growth in Ekiti State.
