Jigawa: Agricultural Loan to Enhance Workers’ Welfare for High-Impact Performance – Govt
The Jigawa State Government has introduced a Workers Agricultural Loan aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of civil servants, thereby enhancing their performance. The State Head of Civil Service, Muhammad K. Dagaceri, emphasized this initiative’s potential to boost agriculture and food security in the state during a sensitization and training session for loan monitors held in Dutse.
Dagaceri, who also serves as the Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Workers Agricultural Loan, noted that this program provides civil servants with an additional income source and contributes to various economic sectors, increasing the state’s GDP. The training session, which drew participants from Civil Society Organizations, Labour Unions, and the Office of the Head of Civil Service, aimed to ensure the effective implementation of the loan scheme.
Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, the Public Relations Officer for the Office of the Head of Civil Service, disclosed that the application portal for the loan opened on June 21, 2024. The initiative is also accessible to political appointees interested in agriculture. Dagaceri urged interested staff and appointees to apply through the dedicated portal using their Personnel Staff Number (PSN).
Dr. Garba Muhammad Dutse, the State Auditor General and a member of the technical committee, led the sensitization training, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting civil servants and promoting agricultural development in Jigawa State.
