Jigawa Governor Champions Worker Welfare at May Day Celebration
Representing Governor Mallam Umar Namadi at this year’s May Day celebration in Dutse, Deputy Governor Engr. Aminu Usman reiterated the administration’s unwavering dedication to workers’ welfare amidst economic challenges.
Highlighting initiatives such as timely salary and pension disbursements, school feeding programs, and economic empowerment schemes, Engr. Aminu Usman emphasized the government’s commitment to easing financial burdens on workers.
He underscored the significance of programs like the J-Agric initiative, aimed at supporting civil servants in agriculture, as part of efforts to ensure sustainable livelihoods and enhance food security.
Additionally, the Deputy Governor outlined plans for modernizing ICT infrastructure, conducting capacity-building workshops, and reviewing allowances to improve workers’ well-being and productivity.
