The Jigawa State Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau, led by Director General Dr. Muhammad Kasim, has taken a firm stance on maintaining quality in state infrastructure projects. During a bid opening for the renovation and construction of 46 roads, covering over 738.9 kilometers, Dr. Kasim warned contractors against using non-authentic financial documents or performing substandard work.

He emphasized that the Bureau will thoroughly verify and authenticate all contractual financial security documents, such as Performance Bank guarantees and Advance Payment Guarantees, to prevent any fraudulent activity. Contractors presenting fake documents will face blacklisting.

Dr. Kasim also assured contractors that the Bureau will uphold their rights, including ensuring timely payment for completed projects. This initiative supports Governor Umar Namadi’s commitment to bridging the infrastructure gap and facilitating economic development through improved road networks.

The Permanent Secretary of the Jigawa State Ministry of Works and Transport, Qs Ahmad Isa, highlighted the government’s dedication to infrastructure development by announcing that the 42 road projects, covering a total length of 738.9 kilometers, will be executed at a cost of over N222.7 billion.
