Jigawa State Commences Ambitious Recruitment Drive for 2,124 Health Workers
Jigawa State’s Executive Council greenlights a significant move by approving the recruitment of 2,124 health workers, emphasizing the government’s commitment to bolstering healthcare services. The announcement, made by the Commissioner of Information Youth, Sports, and Culture, Hon Sagiru Musa Ahmed, outlines plans to recruit permanent and pensionable staff, including 924 temporary health workers under the J-Health program, along with 200 medical personnel. Additionally, 1,000 Jigawa State indigenes studying health-related courses are set to be hired as temporary workers, enhancing the existing J-Health Scheme. This strategic initiative aims to address the shortage of personnel in healthcare facilities across the state, ultimately ensuring improved access and affordability of healthcare services, aligning with Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s agenda.
