Kaduna Gov’t Confirms Killing of Wanted Terrorist Leader Boderi
In a significant breakthrough in the fight against banditry and terrorism in the North-West and North-Central regions of Nigeria, the Kaduna State government has confirmed the neutralization of the notorious bandit and terrorist leader, Boderi Isyaku. This achievement comes as a result of unwavering support to security forces by Governor Uba Sani.
Boderi Isyaku, known for his reign of fear, death, and destruction, was killed in a gun duel alongside some of his fighters by troops of the Nigerian Army in the Bada/Riyawa general areas of Chikun and Igabi LGAs of Kaduna State.
The Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the successful operation, highlighting Boderi’s nearly decade-long history of brutal attacks, mass abductions, and killings. Major General VU Okoro, General Officer Commanding 1 Division, Nigerian Army, coordinated the operation, demonstrating the effectiveness of coordinated efforts by security forces.
Governor Uba Sani commended the troops for their bravery and professionalism, expressing his commitment to supporting security forces in Kaduna State. He urged the public to report any individuals with suspicious injuries, as some of Boderi’s associates sustained gunshot wounds during the encounter. The Kaduna State Security Operations Room remains available to receive such reports, ensuring continued vigilance in maintaining security within the state.
