Kaduna State Government Partners with Jobberman to Tackle Unemployment
Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, inaugurated the inaugural Kaduna Career Fair, a two-day event aimed at providing job placements and employment prospects for over 1,500 young individuals within the state.
Organized in collaboration with Jobberman, a renowned Nigerian recruitment platform, the event seeks to alleviate the state’s unemployment challenges. Dr. Balarabe emphasized the administration’s commitment to addressing unemployment and poverty, recognizing these issues as threats to national security.
Highlighting the significance of human capital in reducing unemployment and poverty, she assured the provision of proper education and healthcare to enhance employability among youths.
Ahmed Alaga, General Manager of Jobberman Nigeria, noted the importance of such gatherings in aligning ambitions with possibilities. He stressed the event’s purpose to facilitate talent development and connect job seekers with potential employers.
Expressing concern over youth unemployment nationwide, Alaga called for collective action and innovative solutions, especially considering the projected population increase by 2050. He underscored the urgent need to address this critical challenge.
