Katsina Ag. Governor Jobe Congratulates Badamasi Lawal on Appointment as NSIPA CEO
The Acting Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanchi on his recent appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This appointment marks a significant milestone for both Dr. Lawal and the people of Katsina State.
Dr. Badamasi Lawal, a distinguished son of Katsina State, brings an impressive blend of academic excellence and extensive public service experience to his new role. An Associate Professor of Health Education with a Ph.D. from Bayero University, Kano, Dr. Lawal has consistently demonstrated academic brilliance, earning best graduating student awards at various stages of his education. His scholarly achievements include 48 publications and a career trajectory that saw him rise from a graduate assistant to an Associate Professor.
In his public service career, Dr. Lawal has held several key positions, including Chairman of the Katsina State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, two-term Chairman of Charanchi Local Government Area, Honourable Commissioner of Education in Katsina State from 2017 to 2023, and currently, Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. These roles have equipped him with a deep understanding of governance and community development.
Acting Governor Jobe expressed confidence in Dr. Lawal’s ability to lead NSIPA effectively, stating, “Dr. Lawal’s appointment is a testament to the caliber of professionals from Katsina contributing to national development. His expertise and passion for community service will undoubtedly enhance the impact of social investment programs across the nation.”
