Katsina State Prepares 2,600 Intending Pilgrims for Hajj 2024

The Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced preparations for the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, registering over 2,600 intending pilgrims for the spiritual journey. Executive Director of the board, Yunusa Abdullahi-Dankama, reiterated the commitment of Governor Dikko Radda’s administration to ensuring a seamless and successful Hajj experience for pilgrims.

Abdullahi-Dankama highlighted the board’s efforts in organizing enlightenment programs to educate intending pilgrims on the fundamentals of Hajj and familiarize them with Saudi Arabian regulations. The state government has also undertaken measures to provide suitable accommodations for pilgrims in Makkah, near the Sacred Mosque, facilitating their participation in Hajj rites.

The executive director urged pilgrims to pray for peace and prosperity for Katsina State and Nigeria during their pilgrimage. He cautioned against engaging in illicit activities and emphasized the importance of adhering to travel regulations and guidelines set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.

Abdullahi-Dankama called upon intending pilgrims to represent the state positively and serve as ambassadors of goodwill during their pilgrimage, reflecting the values of Katsina State throughout their journey.
