Kebbi First Lady Empowers 550 Orphans and Supports NGO with Generous Donations
Kebbi State’s First Lady, Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has demonstrated remarkable generosity by donating a total of N3.75 million to support orphans in the Argungu Emirate. Each of the 550 orphans received N5,000 to assist with their welfare, reflecting her commitment to improving their lives.
In addition to this direct support, Hajiya Zainab Nasare also contributed N1 million to Mar’atu Salihah, a non-governmental organization dedicated to the care of orphans and the less privileged. Her support was highlighted during a free feeding program organized by Mar’atu Salihah at the Palace of the Emir of Argungu this Wednesday.
During the event, Hajiya Zainab Nasare emphasized the importance of helping orphans, drawing on the teachings of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who was also an orphan. She expressed that providing for orphans not only fulfills a noble duty but also promises divine rewards in the Hereafter.
The First Lady reaffirmed the commitment of the current administration to enhancing the quality of life for orphans and the less privileged, showcasing the administration’s dedication to social welfare.
Hajiya Zainab Nasare also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the Emir of Argungu for bestowing upon her the traditional title of ‘Giwar Matan Kabi’ during her visit last year. She noted that the title has become a symbol of her widespread recognition and ongoing commitment to charitable causes.
The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the First Lady’s significant philanthropic efforts and her presence at the feeding program. He offered prayers for the continued success of Governor Nasir Idris’s administration.
The Coordinator of NASARA Foundation, AbdulRasheed Bala, on behalf of the First Lady, announced the donations made to Mar’atu Salihah and the orphans, reinforcing the First Lady’s ongoing support for those in need.
