Kebbi: Gov Idris Approves New Permanent Secretaries, Reveals Handover Date

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has announced the appointment of 21 new permanent secretaries and the reposting of 34 others within the State Civil Service. This move is part of his administration’s commitment to filling vacancies left by retirements and ensuring appointments reflect the state’s diverse local government areas.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are expected to report to their new assignments by August 7, 2024. The appointments and repostings are designed to enhance administrative efficiency and align with Governor Idris’s campaign promises. The list includes notable appointments such as Abubakar Magaji Nayilwa, Malami A. Maiyama, and Dr. Nasiru Garba, among others.

The announcement was made by Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, the State Head of Civil Service, who emphasized that these changes aim to streamline governance and address the needs of various ministries effectively.
