Kebbi Government Commends Wacot Rice Mills for Empowering Smallholder Farmers
The Kebbi State government praises the Argungu Outgrower Expansion Programme (AOEP) by Wacot Rice Mills Ltd, in partnership with USAID and West Africa Trade and Investment Hub, for bolstering rice production. Governor Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, represented by his Chief of Staff, Barrister Attahiru Maccido, lauds the initiative during the AOE Programme’s closing ceremony in Abuja. The programme, which supports 7,600 smallholder farmers, contributes to food security and rural economic empowerment, lifting many out of poverty. The government expresses gratitude to Wacot Rice Mills and collaborators for their impactful intervention.
