Kebbi State Enhances Firefighting Capabilities with N50 Million Investment
Kebbi State Government demonstrates its commitment to public safety by refurbishing firefighting trucks at a cost of N50 million. Governor Nasir Idris’s directive led to the restoration of five dormant vehicles, significantly bolstering the state’s firefighting capacity.
The successful refurbishment carried out through direct labor, was showcased with a test run at the Ministry of Works and Transport headquarters. The vehicles’ firefighting ability was demonstrated, affirming their operational readiness and effectiveness.
Commissioner Abdullahi Umar Faruq Muslim highlighted the administration’s proactive approach, which transformed a previously limited firefighting capability into a robust department. The governor’s unwavering support enabled the ministry to fulfill its mandate effectively.
The refurbishment initiative received accolades from various quarters, underscoring the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Kebbi State.
