Kebbi State Gears Up for 2024 Hajj: Gov. Idris Elevates Travel Experience
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing a seamless Hajj experience for pilgrims by ensuring the readiness of the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi for the 2024 exercise. During a meeting with Alhaji Jalal Ahmad-Arabi, the National Chairman of the National Hajji Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Governor Idris emphasized his dedication to facilitating a smooth departure process for intending pilgrims.
Acknowledging the importance of convenience, Governor Idris announced the establishment of an Aviation Fuel Depot to streamline refueling operations for aircraft, further enhancing the travel experience for pilgrims. He also commended Flynas Airline for its operational efficiency during the 2023 Hajj exercise, underscoring the state’s commitment to providing top-notch services.
Addressing concerns about Hajj fares, Governor Idris assured that all payments made by intending pilgrims were promptly transferred to the NAHCON account without delay. He emphasized that these funds belong to the people and should be utilized for their religious obligations without any diversion.
Governor Idris lauded the appointment of Alhaji Jalal Ahmad-Arabi by President Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in his leadership. He pledged full support to NAHCON and commended the Chairman of the state Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa-Yaro, for his exemplary performance. With preparations underway for the 2024 pilgrimage, Kebbi State remains committed to ensuring a successful and memorable Hajj experience for all.
