Kogi Governor Mourns Olubadan’s Passing
Governor Ododo of Kogi State expressed shock and sorrow over the death of the Olubadan of Ibadanland. In a condolence message, the Governor described the late Olubadan as a progressive traditional ruler whose reign brought about peace and stability in Ibadan land and the Oyo State Traditional Council.
Governor Ododo prayed for the peaceful repose of the Olubadan’s soul and extended condolences to his family and the people of Ibadan land. The Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is expected to succeed the late Olubadan, pending approval from the state governor, although a specific coronation date has not been set by the Olubadan-in-Council.
