Kwara Government Warns School Heads Against Illegal Fees Collection
The Kwara State Government has announced that the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination into Junior Secondary Schools across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state is scheduled for Saturday, 10th August 2024. Accreditation for the examination will commence promptly at 8:00 am in various centers across the state.
In a statement from the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, the government emphasized that the placement examination is fully funded by the state, and any Principal or Headteacher caught collecting illegal fees will face legal consequences. The government also urged pupils and school heads to avoid examination malpractices.
Pupils must bring their screen cards, signed by the Principals of their chosen schools, to the examination centers as no one will be allowed to sit for the exam without this card. Principals and Headteachers are advised to communicate this information to their pupils accordingly.
