Kwara State Government Prioritizes Civil Servants’ Well-being and Health
The Kwara State Government reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the welfare of civil servants with a special focus on their well-being and health. This commitment was underscored during a sensitization programme organized by the D Positive Global Impact Foundation in collaboration with Abikan Hospital and Wellness Centre.
Representing the government, the Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, highlighted the administration’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of civil servants. He expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for prioritizing the well-being of workers and ensuring their access to quality healthcare services.
Emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mary Kemi Adeosun, encouraged civil servants to prioritize self-care through regular exercise, balanced diets, and timely medical check-ups. She commended the organizers for providing valuable insights on wellness and thanked the Managing Director of Abikan Hospital and Wellness Centre for offering free medical services to civil servants.
The programme, aimed at promoting workforce development and health promotion, received accolades from Alhaji Nasiru Abdulkadir, Managing Director of D Positive Global Impact Foundation. He emphasized the significance of investing in employees’ holistic wellness for organizational success.
Dr. Abdulgafar Abikan, Managing Director of Abikan Hospital and Wellness Centre, reiterated the importance of health maintenance, urging individuals to prioritize their well-being through regular medical check-ups and lifestyle adjustments. He announced free medical check-ups available to residents on a monthly basis, demonstrating a commitment to community health.
Dr. Zainab Nuoha, a resource person at the program, emphasized the importance of exercise, dietary control, and regular medical care for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her insights aimed to empower civil servants with the knowledge and resources necessary for holistic well-being.
