Kwara State Residents Encouraged to Secure TIN for Smooth Registration Process
The Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA) has urged all residents to ensure that their Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) are readily available to facilitate a smooth and efficient registration exercise. This call was made by the General Manager of KWASRRA, Mr. Tajudeen Jimoh, during the ongoing residents’ registration for civil servants at the Banquet Hall in Ilorin, the state capital.
Mr. Jimoh emphasized that even those with expired TIN ID cards can still use the numbers on the cards for the registration process. He advised civil servants to renew their cards after completing the registration for future purposes. Additionally, for those yet to generate their TINs, Mr. Jimoh explained that Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) staff are present at the registration venue to assist in generating the required identification numbers.
The General Manager praised the progress made, noting that the majority of civil servants have successfully generated their request IDs, an essential step in obtaining their TINs. He urged those with request IDs to visit the KWIRS stand at the Banquet Hall to finalize their TIN registration.
Mr. Jimoh reiterated the importance of having a TIN for successful registration, cautioning against bypassing this process. He advised civil servants who previously attempted to register without a valid TIN to return and complete their registration with the correct information to ensure the validity of the process.
