Kwara’s Eniola Bolaji Shines Bright on Global Stage

Eniola Bolaji Mariam, hailing from Kwara State, has etched her name in history as the first Nigerian and African to clinch the Spanish Para Badminton International Championship 2024, securing a coveted gold medal and ascending to the prestigious rank of World number 7 in the Women’s SL3 category, as recognized by the World Para Badminton Governing Body.

Discovered four years ago in Kwara State by the late Coach Bello Oyebanji, Eniola Bolaji has risen to prominence with the unwavering support of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government. Her remarkable victory at the 2024 Spanish Championship, where she triumphed over World number 6 Oksana Kozyna from Ukraine in a thrilling 2-0 encounter, has propelled her to the forefront of international para badminton.
