Lagos First Lady Celebrates Educational Achievements at Scholarship Programme Unveiling
Dr. (Mrs) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the First Lady of Lagos State and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) in Lagos, attended the prestigious unveiling of the AURA-NEPAD African School of Economics/RHI Scholarship Programme awardees. The event took place on August 1, 2024, at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This scholarship programme is part of the Educational Support Program under the RHI, championed by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON. The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda of providing quality education across Nigeria. Through a rigorous and transparent selection process, 200 of the most talented students out of 2000 applicants were awarded scholarships to pursue undergraduate degrees at the African School of Economics (ASE) Nigeria. These students will benefit from training by ASE’s global institutional partners.
The event was graced by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and the Vice Chairman of RHI, Her Excellency, Hajia Nana Shettima, along with the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, OON, SAN, and various First Ladies from across Nigeria. Executive officials from AURA-NEPAD, ASE, and the awardees themselves were also present to celebrate this milestone in advancing educational opportunities in Nigeria.
