Lagos First Lady Commends Seun Akapo’s Educational Support and Empowerment Initiatives

Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the First Lady of Lagos State, has expressed her appreciation for Seun Akapo’s Top Scholars Education Empowerment Initiative, which supports over 100 talented students from various secondary schools by providing essential educational resources.
Represented by Mrs. Omoleye Alake at a recent recognition event at Government College, Osborne, Ikoyi, Dr. Sanwo-Olu praised Akapo’s commitment to not only enhance students’ academic pursuits but also to instill the values of community service and mentorship among them.
The First Lady emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to bolster the educational sector, stating that initiatives like Akapo’s align with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to transforming education through the THEMES Plus Agenda. “Our aim is to prepare our children to be exemplary ambassadors for themselves and the state,” she said, highlighting the need for skills development.
Mr. Oluwaseun Akapo, in his remarks, acknowledged the Lagos State Government’s significant investment in education and reiterated his dedication to impacting society positively. He described the Top Scholars Initiative as pivotal in rewarding youth excellence and fostering career development.
Akapo also expressed gratitude to educators in Ikoyi-Obalende and across Lagos for their hard work, which helps maintain the state’s high educational standards. He reiterated his commitment to continue supporting the government and developing future projects that uplift the community.
