0

In response to environmental infractions, the Lagos State Government has ordered the immediate closure of the popular Mandilas Market on Lagos Island for two days. The closure aims to facilitate the removal of illegal makeshift structures erected on road setbacks within and around the market environment. This decision follows a joint inspection and enforcement exercise conducted by relevant agencies, including the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA). Traders were earlier provided with a 14-day self-removal notice, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations and maintaining a conducive environment for business activities.
