Lagos State Forges Partnership with Netherlands to Advance Sustainable Urban Development

In a proactive stride towards sustainable urban development, the Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Lagos State, spearheaded by the Special Adviser to the Governor, Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih, and Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Tolani Oshodi, initiated discussions with the Consular General of the Netherlands, Mr. Michael Deepen.

During the cordial meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration on sustainable city and community initiatives. The focus centered on Lagos State’s Lighthouse Project, with mutual pledges to strengthen cooperation in achieving its objectives. Additionally, fruitful exchanges took place on topics such as circular and digital economy, ICT, and other pivotal areas for urban development.

The SDGs delegation, including Technical Adviser Mr. Segun Ojo, Director of Public Affairs Mr. Sanusi Abdulateef, Head of Special Projects Dr. Bunmi Akinlade, and Head of Sister City Mrs. Yemisi Tokan-Lawal, showcased Lagos State’s dedication to fostering partnerships that promote sustainable growth and communal well-being.
