Lagos State Government Reclaims Katangua Land for Innovative ICT Market
In a significant move towards technological advancement, the Lagos State Government has officially reclaimed possession of the land in Katangua market, Abule-Egba, earmarked for the development of an International ICT Market. This development signals the state’s unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and creating a conducive environment for traders and investors.
Previously held by property development agent, Bridgeways Global Projects Limited, under a contractual agreement with the state government, the land was relinquished two years ago, paving the way for transformative initiatives.
The initiative to develop the ICT Village has sparked debates between traders, investors, and the Lagos State Government. However, the government has reiterated its dedication to fostering a conducive atmosphere for trade and investment. The envisioned Model ICT International Market promises more space and superior facilities compared to the current Computer Village in Ikeja, aligning with the state’s vision for technological advancement and economic prosperity.
