Lagos State Tourism Embarks on Transformative Partnership with Naija Brand Chick for Vibrant Hospitality and Trade Fair

In a remarkable demonstration of innovative governance, Mr. Idris Aregbe, the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has spearheaded a pioneering collaboration with Naija Brand Chick (NBC) to enhance the hospitality and entrepreneurial landscape in Lagos.

During a press conference at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Aregbe unveiled the ambitious Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair, slated to serve as a dynamic platform for the entrepreneurial community in Lagos. The alliance between the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and Naija Brand Chick aims to elevate the impact of this event to unprecedented heights.

Joining Aregbe in expressing their commitment to this venture were notable figures including Ms. Nelly Agbogu, CEO of Naija Brand Chick; Mr. Idowu Johnson, CEO of the Council of Arts and Culture; renowned Nollywood producer and actress, Mrs. Toyin Abraham-Ajewole; and Ms. Sherifat Balogun, representing the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).

Aregbe emphasized that the partnership signifies a new chapter in the hospitality and trade fair landscape of the State, driven by a vision of excellence under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. With an ambitious sales target of N5 billion, the event aims to foster economic growth and prosperity while promoting inclusivity and diversity.

The trade fair, scheduled from June 14 to 16 at Whitestone Event, Ikeja, will showcase a diverse range of sectors, including Lifestyle, Fashion, Services, Innovation, Arts, Craft, Adventure, Travel, and Cultural Attractions. It offers an unparalleled platform for vendors and entrepreneurs to connect with a wider audience and contribute to Lagos’ vibrant economic ecosystem.

In her remarks, Ms. Nelly Agbogu highlighted the potential of the trade fair to bolster businesses in Lagos, recalling the success of past editions. She reassured traders of adequate security measures during the event and expressed gratitude to Lagos State for its partnership.

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture remains steadfast in its mission to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Lagos, foster artistic endeavors, and drive the tourism sector as a cornerstone of economic development. Together with Naija Brand Chick, they embark on a transformative journey towards a brighter, more prosperous future for Lagos.
