Lagos Taskforce Raids Oshodi and Environs to Curb Criminal Activities
The Lagos State Taskforce conducted an extensive early morning raid in Oshodi and its surroundings to address reported criminal activities causing unrest among residents and commuters. Led by Chairman CSP Shola Jejeloye, the operation lasted over three hours, targeting suspected miscreants involved in various nefarious activities.
During the raid, harmful weapons and suspected hard drugs were recovered, emphasizing the worrisome nature of the activities in the targeted areas. Despite the elusive tactics of some suspects, the Taskforce remained determined to apprehend those engaging in criminal acts.
Jejeloye highlighted that such security operations are part of the Agency’s planned program for 2024, aiming to boost the confidence of Lagosians and create an environment unconducive for criminal elements. He assured residents that the Agency is committed to ensuring safety and urged them to report any suspicious activities.
A total of 63 suspected miscreants were apprehended during the raid and will undergo proper profiling before facing appropriate legal charges. Jejeloye emphasized that the Agency is proactive in its efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for law-abiding citizens.
