The Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI) has launched a comprehensive six-week training program for approximately 5,000 law enforcement officers, including those from LASTMA, KAI, CBD, LSNC, and Vehicle Inspection Services. The training, held at Ikeja Grammar School, aims to enhance professionalism, efficiency, and public service within Lagos’ law enforcement community.

LETI CEO Mrs. Abiola Adeyinka highlighted the curriculum’s focus on critical areas such as Human Rights, Traffic Management, Public Order Management, Conflict Resolution, Modern Policing Techniques, Community Engagement, and Public Relations. She stressed the importance of continuous professional development to meet the evolving demands of law enforcement roles.

Mrs. Adeyinka urged the officers to uphold the highest standards of conduct and warned that any lapses would be met with appropriate disciplinary actions. The training aligns with the administration’s zero-tolerance policy towards inefficiency and misconduct, aiming to foster a more professional and responsive law enforcement service.

Commandant Oluyemi Ebiti noted improvements in officers’ conduct, attributing this to rigorous monitoring and the annual mandatory training. Participants expressed appreciation for the training, pledging to apply their skills diligently to enhance public service.
