LASG Urges Collaboration for Swift Completion of Omu Creek Road Project

The Lagos State Government is rallying stakeholders’ support for the timely construction of Omu Creek Road in the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area. Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, emphasized the state’s commitment to kick-starting infrastructure projects with unencumbered Right of Way establishment to ensure unhindered progress and timely completion.

Dr. Olumide, represented by Permanent Secretary Engr. Oluwole Sotire, highlighted the inclusive approach of the Lagos State Government in pursuing developmental goals. He affirmed that the Omu Creek Road project aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s agenda for infrastructure renewal, aiming to enhance connectivity and socio-economic development in the state.

Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Engr. Olufemi Daramola, expressed optimism about the project’s commencement, signaling positive prospects for the Ibeju-Lekki area’s development.

The project, spanning 4.9km with a 600m bridge, will feature rigid pavement and comprehensive road furniture and drainage systems, as outlined by Permanent Secretary Engr. Lateef Somide. Notable attendees, including property owners, residents, and project stakeholders, emphasized the significance of the initiative for community progress.
