METEF Foundation Empowers 300 Students in Kaduna LGA with Educational Support

The Makarfi Local Government Area Education Trust and Endowment Fund (METEF) has announced its provision of educational support to over 300 students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds within the LGA.
As a registered non-profit organization dedicated to educational advancement in Makarfi Local Government Area, METEF covered tuition fees for students from Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic and Kaduna University.
Sama’ila Aliyu Makarfi, the Foundation’s Secretary, emphasized the initiative’s aim to alleviate financial burdens hindering students’ academic pursuits.
“We have extended support to approximately 300 young individuals within Makarfi LGA, covering their tuition fees to facilitate their educational pursuits,” stated Makarfi.
This announcement followed a visit by the Foundation’s leadership, led by Mahmud Bako Gazara, engaging with key stakeholders from Makarfi Local Government, including former state governor Ahmed Makarfi.
Furthermore, the Foundation is actively pursuing the establishment of a JAMB registration center in Makarfi LGA to ease the inconvenience faced by students traveling to Zaria for exams due to the absence of a local center.
Chairman Mahmud Bako Gazara reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to reducing school dropout rates in the LGA, emphasizing their vision to advance the educational landscape.
In response, Hon. Umar Shehu Ajilo, member representing Makarfi/Kudan Federal Constituency, pledged support for educational development initiatives in the LGA, highlighting the crucial role such efforts play in promoting the region’s progress.
