Nasarawa Signs Landmark Deal to Establish Uke Gold Company

The Nasarawa State Government has entered into a strategic partnership with Aerthmetal and Boxmoor to establish the Uke Gold Company. This tripartite agreement, signed in Lafia, aims to explore, develop, and produce gold resources in the Uke community, promising significant economic benefits and sustainable development.

Key government officials, business leaders, and representatives from Aerthmetal and Boxmoor attended the signing ceremony. Mariam Yahaya-Shiru, CEO of Aerthmetal, emphasized the partnership’s potential, stating, “Together with Boxmoor and the Nasarawa State Government, we are committed to establishing Uke Gold Company as a model of excellence in the mining sector. This initiative is about positioning Nigeria as a formidable leader in the global mining industry.”

Ibrahim Abdullahi, Managing Director of Nasarawa Investment, highlighted the initiative’s alignment with the state’s strategy to generate revenue and create jobs. The Uke Gold Company is expected to bring numerous benefits, including job creation, infrastructure development, and enhanced local business opportunities. The project prioritizes environmental sustainability and community involvement, ensuring inclusive and responsible growth.
