Niger State Government Takes Strong Stance Against Vandalism of Public Property

The Niger State Government has issued a stern warning against the vandalization of government property, affirming its commitment to arresting and prosecuting anyone found culpable according to the law.

Muhammad Kudu Madami, the Deputy Director, Civil, from the Niger State Ministry of Works, conveyed this warning while addressing the media following the parading of 17 suspected vandals of interlocking tiles at the DSS Command Office in Minna.

Madami emphasized the collaborative effort between the DSS and the State Government in apprehending the suspects, emphasizing the government’s firm stance against property vandalism. He further revealed that the suspects will undergo thorough investigations by the DSS and will face appropriate legal action.

Additionally, efforts are underway to identify and apprehend more suspects involved in similar activities. The confiscated items from the suspects include trucks loaded with interlocking tiles, a bus, tricycles, shovels, wheelbarrows, and hoes, signifying the scale of the vandalism activity targeted by the law enforcement agencies.
