NIRSAL Trains Agricultural Extension Agents in Jigawa
The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), in collaboration with the Jigawa state government, conducted training for 1,016 agricultural extension agents and farmer cluster leaders. The training, held at the Jigawa State Polytechnic Dutse, aimed to educate participants on the importance of groupings. The Managing Director of NIRSAL, Abbas Umar, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting Jigawa state in achieving food security and lauded the federal government’s vision for agriculture. Participants are expected to share the knowledge gained with their respective clusters to enhance agricultural practices in the state.
