Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Takes Swift Action to Support TASUED Students after Robbery and Assault
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of students in the state. Following a distressing incident where some unidentified hoodlums robbed and sexually assaulted students at the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Governor Abiodun swiftly offered his support.
Represented by his deputy, Mrs Noimot Salako Oyedele, the governor personally visited the school and the scene of the incident, sending a strong message of empathy and concern. He not only consoled the victims but also ordered a rapid investigation into the case to bring the culprits to justice.
In addition to this, the governor has called for the immediate revival of the dormant Police Post in Abapawa, where the incident took place. This move is a testament to his dedication to enhancing security in the region.
Furthermore, recognizing the disruption the incident has caused, the university management decided to suspend the ongoing second-semester examination to provide students with the necessary support and time to recover. Governor Abiodun’s proactive measures in the face of adversity demonstrate his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Ogun State.
