Olofa and ODU Praise Governor AbdulRazaq, Urge Support for Ibrahim Taiwo Road Expansion
The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his commitment to infrastructural development, particularly the ongoing expansion of Ibrahim Taiwo Road in Ilorin. Speaking during a visit by the Kwara State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, the Olofa expressed gratitude for the governor’s dedication to the welfare of Offa and the entire state.
The sensitization visit was aimed at rallying community support for the project, which includes the removal of temporary structures encroaching on road setbacks. The Olofa assured the Commissioner of the community’s full cooperation, emphasizing the importance of the project for the area’s development.
Engr. Olododo, along with other top officials, explained that the road expansion would include concrete drainage, solar streetlights, and walkways, with work expected to be completed within four months. The Commissioner also highlighted the state’s inclusive approach to infrastructure projects, ensuring that the community is well-informed and engaged throughout the process.
The Offa Descendants’ Union (ODU) echoed their support for the project, urging residents to respect road setbacks to facilitate smooth development. The Commissioner further noted that the Unity Flyover project in Ilorin is progressing well, with 65% of the work already completed.
