Ondo: Appointment of Acting Chairman for ODIRS, SUBEB Members
Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan as the Acting Chairman of the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS). This appointment follows the resignation of the former Chairman, Mr. Tolu Adegbie.
Mr. Rojugbokan, a seasoned expert in tax, financial, and management accounting, holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) and a Master’s degree from Babcock University. His expertise spans Cloud Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Corporate Governance compliance. A Certified Forensic Accountant, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. His professional background includes roles such as Senior Manager at Sterling Bank and Principal Partner at Adebayo Rojugbokan & Co (Chartered Accountants).
Governor Aiyedatiwa has charged Mr. Rojugbokan to leverage his extensive experience to boost internally generated revenue for the state. The Governor also expressed gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, Mr. Tolu Adegbie, for his dedicated service.
Additionally, Governor Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of two new members to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to fill vacant positions. The appointees are Olanrewaju Oyelade (Full-time II) and Prince Wale Adesulire (Part-time). The Governor urged the new SUBEB members to commit fully to their roles in advancing education in the state.
