Ondo Guber : Ex-PDP State Woman Leader, Others Join APC in Okitipupa

As part of his engagement with party stakeholders in Ilaje Local Government Area, Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, emphasized the importance of collective efforts in governance. Speaking at the Zion Gospellers’ Church, Oke Igbala, Ayeka Igbodigo, Okitipupa, the Governor welcomed defectors from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defectors, led by former State Woman Leader Mrs. Esther Ebiwonjumi, cited the Governor’s commendable leadership as their reason for switching allegiance and pledged their support for him in the upcoming November 16 gubernatorial election.

Governor Aiyedatiwa urged both long-standing and new members of the APC to unite and collaborate for the party’s success. “The APC is one big family, and your integration is crucial to our success. Let us all prioritize the success of our party and work together for a better future,” he said.

Addressing concerns raised at the event regarding infrastructure, electricity, and employment, the Governor promised to look into these issues and work towards their resolution. His Eminence, Dr. Joshua Orogbemi Akintan, founder of Zion Gospellers’ Church, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his grassroots engagement and declared the community’s full support for his administration.

Additionally, the Odatiwa Women Initiative, led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, distributed aprons and food items to local women. The Governor also held a stakeholders meeting with APC members in Ilaje Local Government Area at Igbokoda, reinforcing his commitment to inclusive and effective governance.
