Ondo State Deputy Governor Merges Political Structure with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s
In a strategic move ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State, Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami has integrated his political structure into that of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Previously known as the Adelami political movement, the group, consisting of over 8,000 members, has now rebranded as the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Grassroots Mobilisers, with a presence across all 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
The decision to fold their structure into Aiyedatiwa’s was announced by the group’s Director-General, Segun Ogodo, who lauded the leadership qualities of Governor Aiyedatiwa and highlighted his ability to steer the state towards progress. He commended Deputy Governor Adelami for his dedication to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his significant contributions to the party’s success in the 2020 governorship election.
In response, Deputy Governor Adelami expressed gratitude to the group for their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory in the upcoming election. He urged unity and hard work among members to ensure the success of the Aiyedatiwa project.
