Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Approach to Governance
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has chosen to operate from his former Deputy Governor’s office, located at the Government House in Alagbaka, Akure, three weeks after his swearing-in as the substantive Governor. Despite not yet moving into the main Governor’s office, Governor Aiyedatiwa has been actively attending to his duties and receiving visitors in the presidential lodge.
In his maiden address, the new governor pledged to continue the work initiated by his predecessor and ensure collaboration with all stakeholders in his administration. Aiyedatiwa’s decision to use his former office might be temporary, as renovation work is underway in the Government House. The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed ongoing renovations and expressed optimism that the governor would move into the main governor’s office once the renovations are completed.
