Ortom and Uba Extend Congratulations and Call for Unity Following Supreme Court Verdict
Chief Samuel Ortom, the immediate past Governor of Benue State, and Titus Uba, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the last election, extend congratulations to Governor Hyacinth Alia on the validation of his election by the Supreme Court. In separate statements, both leaders commend the apex court’s decision as a testament to the strength of democracy in Benue State.
Chief Ortom views the legal contest following the 2023 elections as fundamental in deepening democratic values and principles, emphasizing the vibrant nature of democracy and the rule of law at work. He urges the people of Benue State to unite across party lines, offering their support to Governor Alia for the progress and development of the state. Titus Uba, acknowledging the Court’s decision in good faith, expresses gratitude to God for the opportunity to offer himself for service during the 2023 election.
