Pharma Park Project to Boost Economic Development in Ebonyi State, Says Pharmaceutical Society
In a significant development for Ebonyi State, the Nigerian Association of Industrial Pharmacists has chosen Ebonyi as the prime location for establishing the Salt City Pharma Park. This decision was based on the state’s conducive infrastructure and its reputation as an investment-friendly destination.
Chairman of the Board of Salt City Pharma Park Development Company, Pharmacist Sam Ohuabunwa, highlighted the reasons behind selecting Ebonyi State during a meeting with Governor Francis Nwifuru. Factors such as ample land space, accessibility, and the state’s proactive approach to investment opportunities were pivotal in this decision.
The Salt City Pharma Park, situated in Ntezi community, Ishielu Local Government Area, represents a significant industrial hub aimed at advancing pharmaceutical manufacturing in the region. Despite initial groundwork initiated during the previous administration, the project sought renewed support and collaboration from the current government to ensure its success.
Governor Nwifuru, demonstrating strong commitment to the project, assured full support and expedited processes to facilitate its implementation. Recognizing the potential for job creation and economic growth, the Governor pledged to surpass expectations and provide necessary infrastructure to attract global investors to the Pharma Park.
The strategic location of Ebonyi State, proximity to Enugu, and access to transportation hubs further solidify its position as a prime investment destination. The establishment of the Pharma Park is poised to stimulate industrial growth, enhance pharmaceutical production, and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the state.
