Proposed Conversion of Ikeja Computer Village
The Lagos State Government maintains that Ikeja Computer Village is situated in a residential area, necessitating its proposed relocation to Katangua in Abule-Egba. Special Adviser to the Governor on e-GIS and Urban Development, Dr. Olajide Babatunde, clarified that the move aligns with existing laws and urban development plans. He assured that occupants within the residential area of the Computer Village would be relocated and settled in Katangua, which offers better infrastructure and amenities. Babatunde highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and conducive business environment for traders. He emphasized that the relocation aims to enhance business opportunities while adhering to legal and urban development regulations.
