Sanwo-Olu: Taxation Reforms for Business Growth and Infrastructure Developments
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu assured that reforms are underway to ease taxation for Lagosians and support business and investment activities in the state.
During the 24th annual Thanksgiving Service themed “The Righteous Shall Give Thanks to Your Name,” Sanwo-Olu emphasized gratitude and prayers for divine guidance in leadership roles.
Expressing commitment to robust state growth and citizens’ welfare, Sanwo-Olu highlighted last year’s commencement of the Blue Line of Lagos Rail Mass Transit and ongoing efforts towards completing the second phase. He anticipated the formal launch of the Red Line and funding finalization for the Fourth Mainland Bridge, promising transformative infrastructure.
The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Layode, assured attendees of more developmental projects and policies aimed at enhancing Lagos State’s economy. Encouraging lawfulness and civic responsibility, Layode urged partnership with the government to create a livable environment.
The service was attended by dignitaries including the Governor and his wife, Deputy Governor and spouse, former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Ogun State First Lady, Lagos State House of Assembly representatives, Chief Judge of Lagos State, religious and traditional leaders, public office holders, and politicians. The Chairman of Lagos State CAN, Stephen Adegbite, emphasized gratitude for the state’s peace, growth, and development during his exhortation.
