Sanwo-Olu Urges Unity and Prayers for Nigeria’s Progress

At the 25th State House Ramadan Tafseer Anniversary Prayer, key leaders including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, emphasized the importance of unity and patriotism in addressing Nigeria’s challenges.

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the need for increased love among Nigerians and patriotism for the country, especially during difficult times. He encouraged citizens to collaborate with the government at both state and federal levels to uplift Nigeria from its current socio-economic challenges. The Governor emphasized the communal way of life practiced by Africans, urging Nigerians to return to these values and support each other.

Senator Obanikoro urged Nigerians to utilize the holy month of Ramadan to pray for the country’s greatness and reflect on their actions. He emphasized the discrepancy between professed religious beliefs and actual conduct, urging people to treat others with kindness and support government initiatives for national development.

Commissioner Layode reiterated the importance of prayer and communal solutions to address Nigeria’s problems. He urged Nigerians to follow the teachings of the Quran and pray for the country’s leaders. The leaders called for collective efforts to build a prosperous and united Nigeria.
