Season’s Generosity: Niger State Government Announces 7-Day Holiday for Civil Servants
In a spirit of celebration and generosity, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has declared a seven-day public holiday for civil servants in Niger State. The declaration was made during an end-of-year cake-cutting ceremony attended by all members of the State Executive Council in Minna, the state capital.
Governor Bago emphasized that the extended public holiday was intended to allow civil servants to fully celebrate both Christmas and the New Year. The holiday period is scheduled to commence from December 22, 2023, to January 1, 2024. Additionally, the Governor revealed plans to provide food for government officials to distribute to the less privileged individuals in their respective local government areas and wards, showcasing the spirit of giving during the festive season.
