Sokoto Government’s Generosity Brightens Ramadan for Thousands
Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto’s administration has allocated a substantial budget of 6.7 billion Naira to provide Ramadan packages, aiming to uplift the spirits of the people of Sokoto State.
During the flag-off ceremony, Governor Sokoto announced the distribution of assorted grains, textile materials, and other essential items worth billions to over eighteen thousand beneficiaries across the state. The initiative targets orphans, vulnerable groups, and the physically challenged.
Additionally, the state government has established feeding centers across all political wards, including 26 centers dedicated to the physically challenged, fostering inclusivity during Ramadan.
Governor Sokoto affirmed his administration’s commitment to alleviating economic hardships, especially amid challenges like banditry and kidnapping, ensuring that “no one is left behind.”
The event, graced by dignitaries including former governor Malam Yahaya Abdulkareem and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, signifies the government’s unwavering dedication to the welfare of its people.
