Sokoto State Executive Council Approves Strategic Recommendations and Road Rehabilitation
The Sokoto State Executive Council (SEC) has approved significant recommendations from the Bature Shinkafi Committee to improve tertiary education and infrastructure across the state. Key decisions include the transfer of five tertiary institutions to the supervision of specialized ministries to enhance operational efficiency.
The council has also approved the rehabilitation of five major roads in the Mabera area, including:
- Unguwar Rogo Junction to Kanti Sani Road
- Kantin Sani to Gidan Bolon Magaji
- Tafarki Road to Eastern Bypass
- Burtali to Massalacin Lukuwa to Eastern Bypass
- Lazu Road to Bodinga Road
Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto confirmed that the 2025 state budget will be presented to the State House of Assembly on November 29, 2024, outlining the administration’s developmental priorities for the coming year. The decisions align with the administration’s nine-point agenda to deliver impactful governance to the people of Sokoto State.
